Susan’s recent trip to Blackpool turned out to be more than a just a seaside holiday. It became a special story of fancy dress fun and a bit of good luck.
While on holiday, Susan took part in a fancy dress competition at the hotel where she was staying. With some help from her support workers, she dressed up as an angel, complete with wings, a halo, and white feathers. Her support workers, Tracy and Valda, joined in by dressing up as devils, which added to the fun.
When the judges announced the winner, Susan was excited to hear her name called. She won a free stay at the same hotel for her holiday next year. This win isn’t just about the prize. It shows how much Susan’s confidence has grown with the right support. Plus, it gives her something to look forward to – a whole year to plan her next holiday adventure.
Susan’s story shows how encouragement and understanding can lead to happy experiences for the people we support at Walsingham Support.
